Update: A minor edit was made at the recommendation of a reader. Deleted the last word of the first paragraph.
Well folks, I lost by a mere 2 or 3 votes. I am extremely disappointed but not for myself. I am disappointed for my wife and daughter and all my supporters. More however, I am disappointed for Radnor. Can my Ward take 4 more years of this?
On the bright side, out of seven races, the Democratic Candidates won 3 and missed one by a hair.
Have you seen the new "park" at the end of Brook Street? When I was canvassing on the street, telling the folks about the park, which apparently they had not heard before, I had great feed back from one elderly gent. He observed that the dedication was just before the primary and now the park was being constructed just in time for the Election. What a coincidence, he observed. And speaking of the dedication: How many of you remember the story of the tree that was planted for the dedication? That a tree was planted but had to be replaced late on the evening before the dedication because it was deciduous and had no leaves. Well, go visit the Park and find that evergreen that was used for the dedication, if you can. Again, a waste of tax dollars.

A win is a win. Someone like you deserved to loose by three votes after running three times with three different party affiliations.
I live near Brook Street and that Park is a blessing. You have nothing better to do than berate hard working public servants who care about our Ward. We have nothing over here and all you are worried about is saving the cows at Ardrossan. Let's start with saving some people and their quality of life.
The tree that you speak of was relocated to the entrance of the Park where it is most appropriate.
Secondly, you are not welcome in our neighborhod because you are the closest thing to the "R" word that exists in Radnor.
We can't thank your opponent, Lisa Paolino, enough for everything she has done for this community. She knows what open space is about and understands the process. Just look at what she did on Petrie Avenue. With the creation of one Tot-Lot the entire street turned into a family neighborhood. There isn't one student residing on that block. She returned Petrie to the way it was before another Democratic Commissioner destroyed it with Student Rental Housing speculators.
Now we feel confident that the park on Brook Street will do the same thing for us. We will slowly but surely have a neighborhood we call home. One without the horrible towing operation running 24/7 down our street with children and elderly residents trying to have some peace and tranquility.
Nagle, you are just a negative, immature, example of a poor candidate. For you to have an issue over lawn signs shows the assinine, inane and pointless candidate that you really are. So much so that you had to stand outside of a property holding up your sings because they would not grant you permission to put your signs up. Did you ever think that they just don't like you very much? If not at all!
As for you, Mr. Nagle, go park your whiny ass over at Ardrossan and MOOO with the cows.
How is that for your ever so popular word "CRAP".
wow joe, wake up the wrong side of the bed?
live "near" brook street? would that be moore? miller? bryn mawr ave?
why so angry? why can't people exercise their first amendment rights in radnor if they disagree with the status quo?
what is so great about Petrie avenue? Petrie Ave is an armpit.
Whomever you are "Joe", you have deep seeded problems and hatred. As a matter of fact, you sound more like a woman then a man.
You are a person to be pitied Joe
First for Anonymous, Petrie is a very nice street, has a great small town feel and suffers from folks who speed down the street past the nice little park.
Wow Joe, so much negativity. If I am not welcome in your neighborhood then how come I won by 20 votes?
Get your facts straight. I have been trying to many things for our ward. For example I have been trying get a nature park incorporated into the "fifth ward" park and a put a nice hiking trail through Ithan but can't get support. If "she" knows so much about open space why didn't we have a clue about American College until after O'Neil was already working on that project. Good thing he couldn't get the sewer modules or we would be fighting him right now just like the folks in Itan. And what about the Condos on Moore? Wouldn't that have been a nice park..... Also you comment about "closest thing to an R word makes absolutely no sense since you seem to favor the current Commish who is a lifetime R. Or how about a prominent D that supports her? Another factual error is your comment about "another commissioner" and student housing. By the way, quite a few of the student places are owned by the same ldy. A wonderful lady who cares about the neighbors and rides herd on the students. Why doen't the Township enforce our regulations about student housing. Certainly not apprpriate to blame Twp employees (now retired) as the villians.
